The Putnam County Shred-A-Thon will be held from 9am-12pm on Friday, June 13th at the Putnam County Council on Aging, located at 1424 East 4th Street in Ottawa. In support of Elder Abuse Awareness Day, any individual in the community is invited to drive-thru and dispose of any personal documents, check stubs, credit card offers, receipts, and any other paper materials that might contain personal information. This is event is free and open to individual community members! We will be unable to accommodate shredding for businesses or commercial use. This event is sponsored by First National Bank, Putnam County Council on Aging, Crime Victim Services, Putnam County Job & Family Services, Area Agency of Aging 3, and the Ottawa Police Department.
